Changsha, China — July 18, 2026 — Vivolight Medical officially launched the FastErazer 355 nm Cold Laser Atherectomy System during the 19th China Southern Endovascular Congress (SEC 2026), marking an important milestone in the development of China’s first independently developed 355 nm solid-state cold laser atherectomy platform.
FastErazer CLA-355 is designed for lesion preparation in lower-limb arterial stenosis and occlusion. The system is particularly suited to complex clinical scenarios, including below-the-knee lesions, in-stent restenosis (ISR) and chronic total occlusions (CTO). Leading vascular specialists gathered at the launch ceremony to witness the introduction of this China-originated technology to the global stage.

Professor Jianming Guo, one of the principal investigators of the FastErazer CLA-355 clinical trial, moderated the launch ceremony and presented results from a prospective, multicenter, randomized controlled study. The study showed that FastErazer CLA-355 achieved immediate lumen gain non-inferior to conventional excimer laser atherectomy. Among patients with complex lesions, including TASC C/D lesions and lesions measuring at least 10 cm, the system demonstrated favorable six-month freedom from target lesion revascularization. The study has been published in JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions.
Professor Guangqi Chang, Chairman of SEC 2026, Vice Chairman of the Vascular Surgeon Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association and Director of the Vascular Surgery Research Center of Sun Yat-sen University, noted that technological innovation and the development of vascular surgery are closely interconnected. Having witnessed the continued evolution of laser technology in clinical practice, he expressed the expectation that FastErazer CLA-355 would help physicians address more difficult and complex revascularization challenges while advancing innovation in vascular surgery.
Professor Chen Yao, Executive Chairman of SEC 2026 from the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, said that the technology fills a gap in China’s solid-state laser atherectomy field and provides physicians with an innovative treatment option that combines efficiency, safety, operational simplicity and clinical practicality.
Dr. Rui Zhu, Founder, CEO of Vivolight Medical, said that the seven-year development journey of FastErazer CLA-355 represents not only the development of an original China-originated technology, but also a sustained effort to understand and address real-world clinical needs. He emphasized that meaningful innovation must be rooted in clinical practice, address needs that remain unmet or underrecognized, and ultimately benefit patients. FastErazer CLA-355 is intended to provide an advanced, efficient and safe laser-based debulking solution for patients with lower-limb ischemia, particularly those affected by diabetic foot disease.
The official launch of FastErazer CLA-355 represents an important milestone for Vivolight Medical and for the development of China-originated endovascular laser technologies.
Moving forward, Vivolight Medical will continue to work with physicians and clinical institutions to advance standardized treatment protocols, physician education, real-world research and evidence generation for 355 nm cold laser atherectomy.
By combining selective plaque ablation, ultra-short-pulse laser performance and the operational advantages of a solid-state platform, FastErazer CLA-355 offers a differentiated treatment approach for complex peripheral arterial disease and reflects Vivolight Medical’s commitment to bringing innovative vascular solutions to patients worldwide.
